Firstly, and most recently, we have the New York Toy Fair that was held from 14th to 17th February in 2026. The US regional team requested for a booth that had more space for trade and partner discussions, while still being able to show off a whole bunch of our unreleased products, retail display offerings and more. Thus, a significant amount of space was allocated for the bar counter tables, as well as product standees, IP inspired island displays as well as MJ branded FSDUs. There was also a Mighty Jaxx branded Live-streaming corner (the bright yellow room) for our US Regional team to hold exclusive giveaways and product launches. (This live stream corner was designed by my team mate, Ruoyi.)

Below are some images of the actual final space of the Mighty Jaxx Booth in New York Toy Fair 2026. The live stream area turned out really cool, and overall our brand colours really stood out from the competitors near us. The lightning used really illuminated and brought attention to our product displays as well.

Next, take a look at the booth I designed for Mighty Jaxx's Booth space at Designer Con 2025 (Las Vegas). As usual, we adapt our Mighty Jaxx brand graphics and elements into all corners of the booth space. As Designer Con is an event more focused on higher end collectibles and art toys, our product offerings were centered around Single Release products with a slightly higher price point than our usual Blind boxes. With that in mind, I had a vision to create a booth design that emulated the feeling of visiting an art gallery, with our products displayed like works of art in a museum.

However, due to budget constraints, the US regional team made some executive changes to the booth design based on their contractors feedback. The booth still looked pretty cool though!

Lastly, this was one of the first few booth designs I worked on in Mighty Jaxx -- the Mighty Jaxx trade show booth at China Toy Expo 2025. This was a really small and simple booth space that we had to design, that could accommodate a B2B trade discussion bar counter, a One Piece ship island display, as well as a side bar to showcase other IP's upcoming releases. The huge black and yellow grid wall with a backlit skull logomark was also really essential in this design, to ensure that we could grab the attention of passersby amongst the crowd of this event.

Below, you'll find some images of the actual event build, featuring our bright and geometric brand graphics, as well as the iconic Luffy Gear 5 1000% display piece.

The bread and butter of VM works at Mighty Jaxx, trade shows are a new and fun way for us to play around with the Mighty Jaxx brand visuals, while still exploring how we can push the boundaries of our brand storytelling.

I personally love the whole ideation and creative strategy stage of designing trade booths. In the Designer Con booth project, I was really excited to create and execute a booth design that evolves trade/consumer booths into a different experience -- one of visiting an art gallery. I had several plans to create a whole gallery walk space featuring layered cut outs of our star products (Luffy Gear 5, Gaia, Garfield, etc). However, due to budget constraints, we had to forgo the non-essential spaces for spaces that featured products instead. Below are some plans and renders of what could've been!

Designing booths for global regions are (to me) the most challenging part of the job, as there tends to be a lot of information lost during the flow of communication from one region to another. More often than not, key information such as technical drawings, dimensions or specific asks are overlooked during the briefing process, and the designers tend to have to ask a lot of questions to truly figure out what is required of the design. In a recent trade show booth that I worked on for an event in Cologne, Germany, the technical drawings and dimensions were sent over in German and we couldn't understand a word of it. (Shoutout google translate for being able to translate pdfs) However, these struggles and challenges only remind me that these designs that we create get to be experience by a huge global audience, which makes it all worth it at the end of the day.
